Lesson 1 - FAB 6 In Neutral

This lesson is very detailed and thorough. Set aside about 2 hours to complete it. You will learn the 7 Steps to Rehab . Once you understand and can apply the 7 Steps you will have the same skillset I have in treating people.

Once this lesson is understood the other lessons will go smoothly and take about 30 minutes each.

Like so many others before you, you might be skeptical initially. Just wait; the results are surprising.

Be sure to fill out a form while going through this lesson. You will text it to me at the end of the lesson

STEP 3: Scoring in more detail

Low: 10 to 30 (the higher the number the worse it is)

Medium: 40-60 (the higher the number the worse it is)

High: 70-100 (the higher the number the worse it is)

Don't over think this - just ask yourself... is the yucky motion; low, medium or high and then pick a number in that range. The number is just a starting point. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WORDS YUMMY & YUCKY YOU CAN USE "EASY OR HARD"or "GOOD OR BAD".

STEP 4: Treatment

Watch the 4 videos below to learn the 4 ways you can start treatment.

On this lesson start with #1 Treat Trunk (Twist) (unless you don't have a good twist side, if this is the case then start with the opposite of yucky.

1st way to treat - trunk (twist)

2nd way to treat - Opposite Of Yucky

3rd way to treat - any yummy motion

4th way to treat - anything in-symmetry

On this lesson start with #1 Treat Trunk (Twist) (unless you don't have a good twist side, if this is the case then start with the opposite of yucky.

Do 2 sets on the YUMMY side. Rest as long as needed between sets. Typical is 15-40 seconds yet you maybe deconditioned and need longer.

We typically do 20 reps for easy motions or non-weight bearing motions and 8-15 reps for harder motions or weight bearing motions.

These are just suggested # of reps. You can use whatever number of reps you feel might work best for your fitness level or level of conditioning.

STEP 5: Re-test

STEP 6: use 3 rules to find out what to do next

3 Foundations Of TMR Tots

  • Bigger Body Motions (adults, teens, toddlers)

  • Little Body Motions (infants, toddlers, adults)

  • Functional motions

The Creation of Total Motion Release (TMR) Methodology

KNOWING STRUCTURE ALLOWS KNOWING THE POTENTIAL POSSIBLE FUNCTION OF THE BODY

In rehab, every condition a child presents with is understood by what they can or cannot do from a movement standpoint. That’s why movement—not diagnosis/condition—is the foundation of Total Motion Release (TMR).

  • KNOW WHAT THE STRUCTURE IS MADE OUT OF (IT’S MATERIAL)

  • KNOW  ALL THE NUMBER OF WAYS THIS MATERIAL CAN MOVE

  • KNOW HOW TO OBSERVE (TEST) ALL THE MOTIONS THIS STRUCTURE CAN DO TO SEE IF THE STRUCTURE IS WORKING OPTIMALLY.

  • IF NOT OPTIMAL, FIX IT BASED ON THE WAY THE STRUCTURE'S MATERIAL CAN BE FIXED

TMR ORGANIZES THIS MOTION & THIS INFO INTO A SYSTEMATIC & METHODICAL WAY SO THAT ANYONE CAN LEARN TO FIX A BODY WITHOUT SPENDING YEARS DOING IT.

YOU WILL NOTICE HAVING A SYSTEM TO METHODICALLY TAKE SOMEONE THROUGH MOTION FROM BASIC TO MORE ADVANCED, TAKES AWAY THE NEED TO "THINK" ABOUT WHAT YOU NEED TO DO AND REPLACES IT WITH SIMPLY OBSERVING MOTION.

STRUCTURE: (THE BODY)

  1. WHAT IS THE BODY MADE OF?

  1. HOW WHAT THE BODY IS MADE OF ASSEMBLED AND HOW CAN IT MOVE?

7 BODY POSITIONS - BELLY/BACK/SIDELYING, ALL 4’S, KNEELING, SITTING, STANDING

3 BODY PARTS (UPPER (ARMS), MIDDLE (TRUNK/NECK), LOWER (LEGS)

6 MOTIONS - ARM RAISE, ARM PRESS, TWIST, LEG RAISE, SIT TO STAND, BENT KNEE

4 DIRECTIONS OF THE 6 MOTION - FORWARD, BACKWARD, SIDE OUT, SIDE ACROSS

3 DIRECTIONS OF ANY MOTIONS - RIGHT, LEFT (CENTER FOR TRUNK/SPINE/NECK)

3 JOINT POSITIONS - NEUTRAL, ROTATE IN, ROTATE OUT

WT BEARING / NON-WEIGHT BEARING

ELBOW/KNEE - STRAIGHT OR BENT

COMBOS - AS COMBOS (ARM RAISE/TWIST, ETC)
